I think I knew it would end this way.

We're swimming in circles, you push me under.
Down I go,
sinking,
down,
down.
It's getting dark, cold,
HEAVY.

I can see you kicking at the surface.
Smaller, smaller.
Farther, farther.
Boom!
I hit the bottom.

Will you come down and save me?
No.
I sit, wait—Suffocate.
