...to be DRESSED IN POETRY

Tuesday, 20 December 2011

Keep me.

Keep me close enough to feel your air
breathe out and in—tall and thin—
embrace me dressed in only skin.
Brush the hair back from my face.
Dead of night—candlelight.
Lay me down on linens white.
Pounding hearts the only sound.
Ecstasy.
Hard to breathe.
Needing you,
needing me.
